In a quite astonishing turn of events, Daily Mail columnist Jan Moir has voiced support for hard pressed social workers.
Commenting on the Shannon Matthews case, Moir starts her column: "Poor social workers, back in the firing line again." And she doesn't seem to be being sarcastic.
All well and good, but it doesn't sit comfortably with me welcoming her support considering the highly discriminatory, homophobic and sexist views she often expresses in her column
Yes, I can understand that. It's such a strange corner from which to get support I thought I'd point it out

Blimey - something positive from the Daily Hate Mail, though I expect it was buried somewhere in the back, 5 pages behind a 'sack all social workers' article!
