Hello,
It is nice to discover another blogger who is trying to reflect on the reality of stigma. My name is Amber and I am an artist/creative director and advocate for eliminating stigma (in regards to mental illness). My brother is currently working towards recovery. He has paranoid schizophrenia. I am hoping to incorporate inspiring stories of recovery into a documentary I will be creating (for educational purposes). I recently created a post on my blog that will provide more details: http://gaining-insight.blogspot.com/. I will show this documentary in galleries along with my (anti-stigma) art exhibit. My mission is to reduce stigma with art and education. I hope to hear from you soon!! If you would like to learn more about my cause, please visit the links below. The first link is where you can view my art exhibit and anti-stigma posters.

I work as a home tutor with kids expelled from school - I am stunned by how useless the official support systems are for them - ed psychs dont listen to them and ignore their deeper emotional needs, and nearly all the 'experts' rubber stamp them with diagnoses (ADD, ODD, Depression etc) that usually leave them feeling unseen - when what they are crying out for is someone who listens -but very little of this is on offer - are there any other of your customers interested in this particular world ??

Any chance on doing some research on who else is out there among the mentally ill? Surely the best way to fight the stigma is to empower people to use their own voice.
I've started, but I feel really alone with it.

Hi Wilde Woman - thanks for your message. Do you mean compile a list of mental health bloggers?
