Spare a thought for the overworked teachers of Edensor Technology College in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent

Plans for two days of intensive training on the new curriculum have been abandoned because of unfair media interest.

It did make me laugh that the head master tried to brazen out the four-day trip to a top hotel in Marbella at a cost of £18,000. He said staff were "very disappointed that they're unable to proceed with the staff training which was planned".

Has he tried a job in banking lately?

Just to show that the media is as bad, some colleagues went on a three-day design course in South Africa years ago, but apparently they had to stay 10 days because they couldn't get the flights back. Poor souls filled their time with safaris, sunbathing, treks; that sort of thing

Anyone come across anything like it social care?
