Kirsty-McGregor-v2.jpgCare services minister Phil Hope and children's minister Baroness Morgan will give the government's response to the Social Work Task Force report at a special Community Care conference next Thursday.

Social Work Task Force and Beyond: Rising to the Challenges will provide the first opportunity to discuss the findings of the taskforce's long-awaited final report.

The taskforce has been described as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to rebuild the profession and improve the quality of social work across England.

Key figures from the taskforce will be at the conference, including chair Moira Gibb, deputy chair Andrew Webb and members Kim Bromley-Derry and Sue White.

It will assess the impact of the report on children's and adult services.

Places are still available for the conference in London on Thursday, 3 December
