Half of women kept awake due to work stress

Thumbnail image for Work-related stress, Metro, 10 April 2012.JPG

This has been sitting on my desk all day, much to the amusement of my colleagues.

However, look beyond the attention-grabbing headline and hopefully you’ll see why I ripped it out of the Metro this morning. Sadly it wasn’t because I planned to write a blog about how not to let job stress ruin your sex life – although I’m happy to look into it if people are interested – but rather because the first paragraph of the story reveals that more than half of the women surveyed by Grazia are kept awake at night by job-related stress.

And I’m willing to bet that not all of the respondents do a job as inherently stressful as social work.
