Sharon Shoesmith has been an ongoing target for the tabloid press since the Baby P case but early coverage of the High Court decision to reject her challenge against her dismissal from Haringey Council was relatively sober.

Notwithstanding this, The Sun chose to dub Shoesmith "disgraced Baby P bungler" and later "shamed Shoesmith". The Mail decided the word "loses" needed to be capitalised in its headline, in case some people didn't spot it, one assumes.
