So, when you think of a "typical crackhead" what comes to mind?

Go ahead and think it. We all have the same image in our heads. Minority (read: black), urban dweller, low income, passel of kids. Right? I think it's fair to say this is the stereotype.

Except when it's not.

For instance:

Picture the perfect suburban existence: White male, father of two kids, beautiful wife of many years, college education, great government job.

Now's the time to picture, if you will, life in Agrestic Estates. On Wisteria Lane. Because this is really the life my guy was leading.

Behind the scenes: Alcohol. Lots of it for a decade. Then "on the wagon" for a decade but really? Not so much. Oh, sure, he wasn't drinking but he was working 6o to 70 hours a week and spending way too much money. Like buying-cars-he-couldn't-afford spending too much money. But he wasn't drinking!

And then along comes crack.

One year later: a stint in rehab.

It didn't take.

Three years later:
Sobriety? Gone. Job? Gone. Money? Gone. Wife? Going. House? Well, that's with the wife and kids. Friend's couch? Gone.

Will to live? Gone. ->
