Fluff UNO: From an email that's been in circulation for years, yet still cracks me up when it turns up in my inbox. You know the one: "How to Maintain a Healthy Level of Insanity", with such gems as:
At lunch time, sit in your parked car with sunglasses on and point a hair dryer at passing cars. See if they slow down.
And
Put decaf In the coffee maker for three weeks. Once everyone is over their caffeine addiction, switch to espresso.
The most appropriate one of all considering the current state of things, however, would be this one:
Tell Your children over dinner, 'Due to the economy, we are going to have to let one of you go.'

Fluff Tres: I threatened 70's schmaltz once upon a moon, and today I offer it to you, with a bit of sharing (nay, self disclosure) thrown in.
Ready?
I binge on music. Sometimes I binge on a single song. For a disturbing should-be-diagnosed-obsessive-and-taking-meds amount of time. And in this case, it's just flat out embarrassing. Not the amount of time said binge has lasted (it was a year last week) but the actual SONG, which is....well....a precursor to Air Supply. This little ditty is not even fit for the "guilty pleasure" category in those "list" conversations we all have, a category that carries a bit of cache in an ironic, kitschy sort of way. No, this song belongs on vinyl in a basement, never to hit the airwaves again. It certainly should NOT be in high rotation on my iPod, accompanying me on nearly every workout and drive to work. The only thing I have going for me is that it is not by Olivia Newton John.
My Friends, I present to you Al Stewart's The Year of the Cat. I hang my head in shame and only pray there are worse musical skeletons in YOUR closet.
(If you comment that you like Olivia Newton John, I'm SO kicking you out of the cool kids' club. Seriously.
Say you: Didn't you own the Xanadu soundtrack?
Say me: Completely beside the point.) ->
