They don't listen.

You're fighting all the time.

You're sad and they don't seem to care.
You want to make some kind of statement to get them to notice you!
Might I suggest you dye your hair blue? As opposed to drinking bleach? The blue hair, you see, works in two ways: It will really tick your parents off AND can be interpretted as cool and subversive by all your friends. Which is, like, totally the point, dude. The bleach, on the other hand, just leads you to the psych ward, which is not so fun. For anyone. ->
