I'd be OK with a half million dollar cap on my salary. I really would. I think it's fair to say that most reasonable people out there would consider half a million dollars a significant amount of money to live on year in and year out.
But not the bozos on Wall Street.
“That is pretty draconian — $500,000 is not a lot of money, particularly if there is no bonus,” said James F. Reda, founder and managing director of James F. Reda & Associates, a compensation consulting firm. “And you know these companies that are in trouble are not going to pay much of an annual dividend.”
I'm sorry.....DRACONIAN??? Let's put aside the fact that this guy is insinuating caps at all are a bad idea and focus on the obvious: In what alternate universe is a half a million dollar salary not a lot of money?
