The thought just occurred to me.

Exactly one year ago today I wrote my very first post and went "live." Then I immediately Googled myself and was crushed when I couldn't find me on the first twenty pages.

So, here are some stats. I know I just threw them out at Christmas, but it's my birthday!

Probably my favorite post thus far--my very first rant. It would appear that took me all of five days.

I'll continue my occasional installments of "How the Little Guy Gets Screwed." I have one brewing in my head right now, actually. "Quotes from the Field" will also stay, as will the occasional fluff and fun, including music posted on US federal holidays. The irony, snark, and sarcasm are here to stay as well, I'm afraid. I'm jaded, after all. Over fifteen years of social work will do that to a person, no matter how Pollyanna they were on graduation day. It's an ugly world out there, and we're in the trenches.
