Last night I worked late at the pottery studio, piddling around with my boxes and mugs and such and I got into a conversation about how to get my art "out there" with a woman who is making her living doing just that: being an artist.
It got me thinking: If I could do it all over again, knowing what I know now, would social work have been my path? Or would I have taken a different road? Perhaps the road of art, or...I dunno, sociology.
I know this: I would have stayed with the liberal arts. I can't see myself as a chemist. Not that there's anything wrong with that!
How about you? What would you do if you could do it all over again? Or is social work (or whatever...) your do-over and you were actually something else in a former life? (I once worked with a guy who used to do tile work. From ceramic tiles to social work. Go figure.)
