I couldn't decide what to blog about all weekend and then it hit me this morning.
I love quotes. Love them! I'm on a postcard exchange site, and they're perfect for that medium. There are quotes for just about any hobby, idea, or philosophy out there. So, if I read on a post card profile that some dude in japan loves baseball, I can peruse any number of baseball quotes, pick the one I like the best, and still look as if I've done my homework when I drop the card in the mail (which I have, actually).
So on Face Crack, the perfect medium for cyber stalking, there are lots of people who list their favorite quotes in their profiles. I think one's favorite quotes tell a lot about them and if a person is going to take the time to type one out and post them, then I'm going to read them. Samuel Clemens, AKA Mark Twain, the greatest American satirist of the 19th century, has a ton of quotes and I've yet to find one that's not relevant today. I have one of his one-liners on my page (plus I use it a lot on postcards). I found another one by him too, on someone else's profile, that I love:

"Of all the creatures that were made, man is the most detestable. Of the entire brood he is the only one--the solitary one--that possesses malice. That is the basest of all instincts, passions, vices--the most hateful. He is the only creature that has pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. Brilliant. Both of them.
I'm not going to put any social work quotes up because that is just way too predictable. What's your favorite quote? ->
