An article from March but for some reason on the front page of the Guardian Social care section online today. It it talks about the use of the internet by families involved child protection proceedings to try and get support for their side, and generally bad mouthing social services and breaching family court orders identifying themselves and the social workers involved is the case.
The article can be found here
Has anyone had any experience of this happening? I personally am aware of one facebook campaign in my LA where the family feel they have been mistreated, but it has not gone as far as naming the workers involved.
I rember this article for two reasons;
were you able to do anything about it redana?
And don't take this personally, but to what extent were they right/wrong?
Has anyone seen this.....
I couldn't believe it!!
Earthmother: Has anyone seen this..... I couldn't believe it!!
got about half way down and had to stop, and these people wonder why they have been involved with social services?
wow
Hi everyone
We've removed the url for the site "Name and shame social workers" because although we are not responsible for third party sites we do take seriously our responsibility to stand up for social workers and do not want to link to a site which hosts so much potentially libellous vitriol against so many named social workers. Community Care is looking into reporting the site to Google, which runs the Blogger platform and you may want to do the same.
