Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone had applied to this and has heard whether they have been shortlisted?

I'm trying to work out if i should have heard by now - it says they don't inform you unless you are shortlisted, but the dates you'll hear by are not that clear on the website. I have emailed them but I'm sure they get many emails so i thought i'd just see if anyone else had applied...otherwise i'll assume i wasn't successful unless i hear otherwise!

Thanks,

Tasha

Hi Tasha,

they said we should know if we've been shortlisted by 3 weeks after the closing date.

Good luck!

Hi Guys

Have either of you heard anything yet..? I just want to know either way now!

No not a word but you only hear if you get an interview so now i'm not too optimistic!

I chased them and recieved an email back saying this...not good news! I hope you guys have better luck!

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that the shortlisting has now been completed for the
Graduate Trainee Social Work Scheme and I regret to inform you that you
have not been shortlisted.

Candidates who were not shortlisted fell into one of the criteria below:

There was no evidence of GCSE in Maths and English

There was no evidence of first degree at a minimum of 2:2

The candidate exceeded the 1000 word limit for personal statement

The evidence of direct work with children was not very strong

There were other candidates who were stronger

Thank you for applying to the scheme and good luck with any future
applications.
