Hi
We know some users have been having problems with posts which appear blank after you try to submit them.
We have not been able to replicate the problem here, so please can you post here each time it happens, letting us know what type of browser you are using - eg. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Chrome etc
Also, does the problem persist after you have cleared your cache/cookies from your computer?
Thanks
Simeon
CareSpace support
Can't post at all on Google - as JoSoPhine says, though, no problems with Firefox.
Google
Firefox.
Opera.
Only one playing up with me is ie 9. Brings up the box and when you press post, it just brings up a virgin box again.
Safari.
Thanks everyone - if I can establish what exactly is happening then I can get the technical people to fix it
I use Chrome
Internet Explorer 9. No problems with firefox.

I'm glad some helpful advice did get through in the end (and from BASW - I bathe in reflected glory). I've had similar problems with sending blank postings from which my finely honed and erudite prose has all mysteriously vanished into the ether (if it comes out and clonks someone on the head, they'll know about it!). Also I have a problem with posts disappearing from my computer but not appearing on CareSpace. Could be my computer is at fault as it is very temperamental (it's an antique by modern standards), could be a problem with CareSpace or (in my paranoid moments) I could be banned! I have resorted in the end to using a different computer and that seems to work fine, but I use this one for church stuff so you might get a sermon by mistake one day!
- Simeon, this really is a continuing and serious issue. Why are you unable to resolve it?
The problem is Simeon that it is the new people or infrequent posters who are mostly caught out by this. Few of them seem to come back and ask why their post didn;t show up (don't really know why) and so may be unlikely to respond to a thread like this.
Us 'old timers' know about the problem and how to resolve it (seems to be text forming outside of the text box when typing, then not showing up once the post is posted).
We know it's definitely a problem with Internet Explorer 9, although it may be related to Windows 7. I would advise anyone having problems to use Firefox, as that seems to work ok.
Hopefully it's something we can sort out next week.
Simeon advertising now.
Since realising it was 7/9, have experimented with various browsers and not fallen for any hype.
Have ended up with an Opera/IE/Firefox hybrid. Avant; far and away the best.
Course it might just be on my computer, but I want its babies.

Simeon - Mary has had 2 blank postings - why is the issue still not resolved some 2 months down the line?
When I press "quick reply", I seem to lose the post... also same seems to happen if I try to start a conversation via someone's profile (was trying to start a convo with Simeon, about this, to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong)
Yes, the same happens to me on Google but it seems to have defeated Community Care to solve it - you will need to use an alternative such as Firefox.
Unfortunately it is out of my control but am still trying to get the relevant people here to come up with a fix. In the meantime, the only advice I can give is to avoid Internet Explorer 9 and use Firefox, which we know works.
The issue is that you are excluding people who do not have / wish to use the alternatives you suggest. As everything worked fine until some 3 months or so ago surely you must be able to resolve the matter.
More blank posts on this thread, Simeon. http://www.communitycare.co.uk/carespace/forums/social-work-interview-tips-for-australia-12566.aspx#EndOfPage
O.K. let's be blunt - it now seems pretty disgraceful that the issue has not been resolved and is clearly excluding a number of contributors. If ComCare do not have the expertise then time to get in someone who does.
It's not worth losing sleep over.
