I'm a little bit confused about Career Development Loans. It states ont he government website that you can not apply for one if you are in receipt of a NHS Bursary. However, I have heard from other sources that some social work students have managed to get a CDL. Has anyone managed to apply for one successfuly?

I don't know if you can apply for a cdl if you get the bursary, but not all sw students qualify for the bursary ( i don't ) and have to go for the cdl as a way of getting funding. I would imagine that the cdl is for people who are self funding.
