Hiya, I have a place to study Social work [MA] starting in September.  I know we get the bursary and fees paid, but the CWDC scheme was mentioned on the selection day.  Just wondered if anyone was on the scheme or had some experience with it.

At this stage my preference is to work with the adults/mental heath/learning difficultes, rather than children and families, although once I start placements etc this may change.

So for me:

Pros - The CWDC program is tempting because it looks like you get a bit more than the bursary even after paying tuition fees out of it and a guaranteed job at the end.

Cons - not 100% sure this is the area I want to work in, I'd feel a bit restricted.

So I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who has done this or is planning to if the 2010 intake is confirmed.

Thanks x
