The Children's Workforce Development Council has just launched a number of pilots designed to reshape the roles of children's social workers to give them more contact time, take away bureaucracy and promote early intervention to stop children going into care. The idea behind the Remodelling Social Work Project is that it will improve retention and thereby give children the continuity of support they look for in a practitioner.
I just wondered what people thought about the pilots' ideas for remodelling social work - are they the sort of thing that would improve your working life and services for children as well?
I think it looks quite promising - at least they are trying out some new approaches
