I can disapprove people's accounts - although simply turning off the email notifications on your account and then not using it anymore effectively has the same result.

Hey, no it's not throwing my toys out the pram. The skin is almost thick enough, just not so much when online- sometimes, no matter what name is used there is no hiding behind a persona. Anyway, the reason is simply that I have been considering it for a while and now the uni workload has picked up its best I use my time wisely. Still having an account will distract me.
Andy, I have often taken breaks from online engagement, so I can understand your thoughts, you take risks with your postings which can facilitate broader discussion, this also means getting fingers burnt. Acrimonious debates and Gutter press inflamed threads can be energy sapping and you are therefore right to refocus your thinking on the concrete world.
We all come with various perspectives and Carespace can help shake them, though some participants (me included) can use certain skills to challenge comments with a scalpel like precision which could silence open and free debate and just give the appearance of point-scoring. I am trying to be more aware of why I respond to comments as I do, but in the end of the day Carespace is an open Pubic forum that anyone with any agenda can join so caution is always worthwhile and ultimately you are one of the few members who can will little effort be identified and that alone gives you kudos few can claim.

Thank you for your words, the only reason I have asked it to be deleted is because I spend so much time on here and have no discipline to stop whilst I have uni bits mounting up. Believe me, I enjoy people disagreeing with me and challenging it.... I simply need to limit my distractions for the next few months. Take care, thanks again
Andy really sorry you have decided to stop I really enjoyed your contributions (and we have the great debate with AIMS coming up as well!!) so please reconsider and stay, though I know what you mean its a real time consumer.
