Are you posting your confidential medical diagnosis on a password protected chat site?

How do you know the tutor cancelled the placement because of information on the website?

Has the tutor met with you and discussed how the found the information and what he/she believes are the issues which justify the action?

I'm afraid that a "private" students forum isn't private. Its a bit like me posting my pictures of me and Max Mosely at one of our "funny" parties on a website that can only be accessed by members of the Formula 1 enthusiasts association.

None of them would ever tell a  non-member would they...??!! or copy the pictures to "THe Sun"??

Hi Kaz266,

I am not sure if I have quite understood your post, but if you are saying that your tutor has disclosed medical or any personal information to another student without your consent I would say that he has breeched confidentiality.

Though if he/she has informed your placement this may have been to ensure that you have a placement once you are ready to start and to ensure that you get the support you require whilst on placement.

Best bet though is too meet with your tutor and raise your concerns directly with them.

No the tutor said that my placement has been postponed till  we can  decide on reasonable adjustments, but  I am not sure if  the tutor confirmed it because somebody asked, and it was confirmed.  It does not really bother me but I was just curious, and I had disclosed it on a private forum that my placement had been postponed and was wanting some support
