I just finished my first placement working with homeless individuals.
Probably bit of a long shot but are there international placements for PLO2 and how would you go about getting involved?

i'd imagine that the issue of a practice teacher would be difficult, i am sure plenty would want to go but who would pay?
i was at Bournemouth uni in 2006-2009 and a group of students went to Malaysia for their final year placement. it sounded really interesting they worked in a mental health hospital, a hostel for people with HIV AIDS and somewhere for homeless families. it was an amazing opportunity and happened partly because one of our lecturers worked in Malaysia and also lectured there in a university. there as a grant available as part of a research thing and students had to find some money themselves.
good luck and i hope you find one, i really wanted to go to India and do a placement there but they said it would not be possible,i went travelling a few years ago and was impressed with what i read about in the local papers about the work social workers did in the community
