Hi
I have been invited for an interview at ARU for next week for the Social Work degree.
Anyone else had an interview there recently? if so, what sort of questions were asked? Any ideas which topical issues I should be reading up on?
Regards
Hi l am in my final yr l can vaguely remember....they will ask about the latest articles or news on social work as highlighted in the media, y u r choosing social work, yr past experience and also what you feel you will bring to the degree.... thats what l was asked .....good luck...x
I am going there tomorrow for MA in social work i am currently studying at chelmsford doing early childhood studies in my last year.. but very scared for the interview tomorrow!!
trying to read on latest news in media but cant really find much around!! good luck anyway- if you can get a hold on thompson- understanding social work its a good help, also the dictionary on social work, as i think its good to know about ECM, COP, CAF etc
Adoption and Personalisation are a couple of main issues - not to mention Munro Report.
Thanks for the reply and good luck for tomorow.
I have been working in Older people services so had to google the above as Im not really familiar with childrens services. Im scared about tomorrow too!
Thanks for that. Just hope I dont get tongue tied!
Hi Sweetgee which course r u doing as i'm also in my last year at ARU.
Hi all,
Just thought i would start this thread up again as i have an interview for Anglian Ruskin ( Cambridge campus) coming up and wondered what your experiences were like of the interview day?
How did you find the group interview?
Any advice greatly received.
Thanks, A
Hey Anneka,
I was at the same interview as you! Was wondering if you've heard back yet? I have two offers from other unis and want to hear back from Anglia before I make a decision.
Have you heard back from your other choices yet?
Emma
Hey Emma,
Lovely to hear from you. Congratulations on being offered two places so far. That's great news! Well done.
I have been offered an unconditional place at Brighton Uni which i'm really pleased about. I thought i had messed the interview up, but obviously i didn't.
I also heard from Anglia Ruskin two weeks ago, and was offered an unconditional place . I can't quite remember what they said about letting people know the outcome... perhaps email them if you haven't heard? On the offer letter i received from Anglia Ruskin it states the tution fees are £6500!!!! I couldn't quite believe it!
Did you apply to UEA?
Good luck! Anneka
Hey,
I'm waiting to hear if i've got interviews with UEA and Sussex. I don't think i'll be accepting Anglia Ruskin as it's too expensive. My top choices are Brighton or UEA. I'm not that hopeful about Sussex.
Yes, good luck with it all, and hope you get the firm offer from Bournemouth soon :) x
Hey all,
After alot of debating Ive decided to accept my place at Lancaster. I was wondering whos heading there? Only a small class size of 40 so be good to get to know some people before we go :).
Good luck to anyone with remaining interviews!
