We all know he is a child and not unlike some CC contributers.
Nevertheless I am dissapointed in the rhetoric coming out of Unison, likening him to Ghadaffi , incitement to kill etc.
Responses have to be appropriate to take people with you, Unison have missed a trick.
You have to be half in touch with those out of touch.
Mmm yeah. But I'm quite glad that someone is standing up to him about the comments though.

I would like to see him booted out, just like Keys, Gray, Atkinson and Dean Jones. The precedents are there.
apparently jeremy clarkson has publicly apologised for his comments made last night about the strikers, nevertheless maybe he should be shot and be put out of his misery ! poor dumb creature - it may be the most humane thing!!
The Script of the comments which gives the context is on the BBC website.
He offered two views, one which said that the strike was fantastic and he supported it and went on to give "funny/non serious "reasons; Then said "Oh but this is the BBC you need another view to give a balance , well then, I think they should be taken out and executed.....etc"
The presenter said "these are only Jeremy's views"
To which he said "No....I offered you two views"
Now, I understood he was trying to make up two funny/satirical versions of radically opposite views of the strike..for entertainment.But comedians work and rehearse their material for months before they can be sure it will work. He didn't!
However, just as we accuse journalists of quoting out of context, here by poetic justice, is a journalist ( yes thats what he trained as!!) being quoted out of context.
OK...this is NOT a defence of generic Clarkson....I wouldn't want to share a dinner table with him!
In principle however I think people in the media should be able to parody an extreme view of something to make the point of how ridiculous the view is, without being hung because people think they actually hold that view.Alexander Pope otherwise has a lot to answer for!
For example, Clarkson, brags joyously and regularly of not working for a living but getting paid ridiculous amounts of money for playing with the worlds most expensive toys.
So when he says "...with their gold plated pensions unlike the rest of us who have to work for a living" he is;
a) assuming you know he thinks he doesn't work for a living, and is in fact parodying all the other people with high paid jobs who think they "work" by ..say... dining with Bernie Ecclestone to negotiate a sponsorship deal,or going with the defense minister to have meals with Bahrainian polititians to get them to buy British weapons etc.
Thats not work,compared to wiping up smelly body fluids, getting petrol bombed by rioters, trying to get children out of a burning building, getting assaulted by drunks you are trying to treat in casualty/A&E at 3 in the morning and whatever it is that Social Workers do, ( ) or loading 40 tons of other peoples household waste into a garbage truck every shift, etc
I believe Clarkson was trying to parody that view and was actually trying to support the strike.
However he is ;
b) Not a comedian, he is a motoring journalist with a smart-assed line in superlative metaphors
c) Not particularly in tune with his audience
d) Has an over-inflated opinion of his ability to communicate his alleged wit to the masses.
e) Probably rich enough to never need to ever work again and could still live his current lifestyle even if you sacked him tomorrow.
f) There is no "f".....nobody gave one!
And on that bombshell....its goodnight!
Karen Jennings.
Seeing how this has panned out today her dubious outrage looks more and more unconvincing.
Demonstrates a fragility in the union stance, which will diminish credibility. Sad.
Stewart Lee has him sussed.
It's Jeremy Clarkson- he is still evolving.
