Hi all, l applied to the following universities Brunel, Middlesex, New Bucks, Hertfordshire, London Metropolitan and Bedfordshire. This is after being unsuccessful 2011 entry.
Has anyone got interview invitation from any of the above named universities?
Can anybody out there help with preparation techniques in general for MA / MSC Social work am very nervous as last year l didn't make it and really really wanna start in 2012.

I just wondered if you had heard from any the places that you applied to? or had any interviews etc? I have applied to London Met and Middlesex at the beginning of Jan but have had no response yet, I have an interview at London South Bank at beginning of Feb.

I had response from Middlesex saying they r processing will write once done, New Bucks wants more info certificates etc, London Met nothing, Brunel and Bedfordshire nothing.Did a direct application to Hertfordshire am suffering administration frustration as no one knows how far my application has gone you don`t get an answer from anyone you get passed department after department which was case last year until they started term and l didn't get in...

I applied to middlesex, goldsmiths, brunel, london met and Anglia Ruskin in the middle of January-I got acknowledgements from Anglia Ruskin, Middlesex and Brunel straight away. Then about a week later I got an interview for Brunel and I have yet to hear back from anywhere else. Also, applied for Hertfordshire externally in December, then about a week ago I got an e-mail asking for all sorts of things so I am currently trying to track down second references etc. I am so nervous about Brunel interview been panicking ever since i found out.
Hope this was helpful - I found this thread while trying to work out if anyone else had heard from anywhere else apart from Brunel, don't want this to be my only interview incase it goes badly
Thanks for your replies. It is good to know that people are still getting interview coming in now, I was worried that had I not heard from them it was not good news. I have only got an interview from LSBU still, on 8th Feb. Goldsmiths emailed asking for more info, nothing from Met and Middlesex, quite frustrating as these are my preferred choices. Has anyone heard from them or know of anyone else that has?

Thanx for that, l got interview invitation for Brunel but cant attend so requested to change date awaits that. Hertfordshire are like that am still getting same request had to take them in person as they said they were not receiving all the faxs or scanned emails l had sent nightmare. Nothing from London Met and Middlesex as yet.

Hi I applied to Brunel, Middlesex, London Metropolitan, Kingston and Greenwich. I received interview invitations from Brunel, Middlesex and Greenwich. My Kingston application was unsuccessful and I still haven't heard back from London Metropolitan!
I attended a literacy and numeracy test at Middlesex and passed. I was invited back for an interview...
I attended a written exam at Brunel which consisted of a hour long test to answer 2 questions. I passed this stage and then progressed onto the group interview. This was a group discussion which involved 4 people and was very relaxed. I found out a week later that I have been offered a place!!!
Needless to say I cancelled my interview with Middlesex because Brunel was my first choice!
I am so excited and I can't wait for September to come so I can start the course!
I wish everybody applying all the success in the world. My top tips are to read books and articles relating to Social Care and Social Work. The more you read the more you become confident in the subject knowledge! Relax and be yourself at interviews, it will show, be confident but not over confident!
