While the headline is a typical Express hyperbole, there is an organic component to depression which phone masts could be a contributory factor on. There is good evidence to link sites of masts to a range of illnesses from cancers to reduced immunity. In this context although we cannot make a causal link between masts and depression, it is possible that the immunosuppressant effects of masts could be one of the factors leading to depressive symptom logy.
