Does anyone know roughly what amount the bursay will be for the next academic year- will it be in line with the increased tuition fees? I will not be able to afford it otherwise!
Tuition fee rises (9k) only apply to undergraduate places. Uni's have always been able to charge what they like for postgraduate courses, though most seem to charge between 3500-5000 a year. Currently bursary pays upto 3700ish a year (plus a living allowance). Some uni's will write off the difference (mine does) whereas at others you are expected to pay the difference.
It should be the same for next year, as they're reviewing it now and any changes wont come in till 2013/2014
Really? I best contact the Uni then. After recieving an offer at Beds I nearly had a panick attack when I saw there revised fees for the masters - it stated the general fees for masters was £9000 eek!
Can I ask what uni you are at/going to?
