Seeing the new health and social care act is more lenient - why can't the 16/17 year olds access adult  services instead?

There are options, Supported Lodgings (already used) & Shared Lives to name two, where carers who have the right skills could provide a different type of support to those in need. Most local authorities are joining their adult & childrens departments up, so I hope transition between services in this area can be more flexible in the future and not have to be such a wrench on the 18th Birthday.
