    New Childrens Home: Getting noticed

    Hello

Can anyone help or advise me?

After many years as a Registered Manager, I decided to take the plunge and open my own 4 bedded Childrens Home.

I just want to create a quality provision and I cater for boys with social, emotional, behavioural and associated difficulties.

My home has been registered after a long process with OFSTED and I feel able to offer a home that will encourage young people to develop into positive characters.

Unfortunately I seem to be stuck. I have sent details of the home to all the Local Authorities and I have tried to involve myself with Placements Northwest and other such bodies around the country. An example of my problem follows: Local Authorities say"Sorry but we are only placing young people through Placements Northwest".

Placements Northwest: "sorry we are running behind schedule and advise you to contact Local Authorities directly"

Local Authorities:"sorry, but I have been informed that we will only place our young people using Placements Northwest"

Placements Northwest:" I am really sorry but after we have updated our fostering services we will be concentrating on Children's Homes and residential placements, try the Local Authorities again"

    HELP!

I just want to help young people and I am very good at what I do but all the bureaucracy may ruin my plans and ambition.

    Mike
