On the latest Ivory Tower podcast, executive editor Mark Ivory interviewed Frances Done, the newish chair of the Youth Justice Board. Quite a time to be taking on the role - it's the YJB's tenth anniversary this year and last year was widely deemed to be a pretty torrid year for the board, with the highly critical inquests into the deaths in custody of Adam Rickwood and Gareth Myatt and news that the YJB was on course to miss most of its key targets.
It's also a time of opportunities with the publication of a youth crime action plan, expected next month. It's well worth a listen and later today we'll have an written interview with Done up online (and in the magazine tomorrow).
