    public sector recruitment rate rise

    One of the other magazines in a our building, Personnel Today, which covers HR issues is reporting that there has been a significant increase in the number of applications for public sector jobs as a result of the credit crunch. It doesn't specifically discuss social care but if other areas are seeing increases there's no reason why this may not also. Has anybody seen any evidence of this?

    Re: public sector recruitment rate rise

     There might be more applicants but I can't help thinking that seeing as there have been recruitment freezes in some of the 'good' years that there might be even less money around to recruit new staff - with some staff who might have moved on being less tempted to move and therefore less vacancies overall.
