    council tax

    hiya

What's everyone's feelings about the possible increases in council tax due to investments in icesave?  Do people feel that the increase would be acceptable or are you willing to make a stand and refuse to pay the extra.  do you think that it'a acceptable that so much of public money was invested when services are being cut to save money.

does anybody feel let down ??

i cant say i feel let down as they did what we all do which is put money in high interest bank accounts. I do however think it is unfair to put the increase on council tak which will hit the poorest hardest. i want the super rich bankers at the top of the pile who created this credit crisis to be properly punished but instead they have all gone to holiday in the carribean until they can invest money again apparently there is a shortage of super luxury hotel rooms in the carribean at the moment because that is where they all are.waiting for interest rates to fall so they can spend their obscene amounts of money again.

    Re: council tax

I feel mildly peeved that my own council (where I live and not where I work.. ) decided in their wisdom to invest in Icelandic banks in the middle of last week after one had already gone bankrupt and a couple of days before the one they invested in went bankrupt.

    But surprised? No, not really.
