    Henderson Hospital

What do people think of the planned closure of Henderson Hospital in Surrey? It seems a lot of people are upset about it as there are so few facilities for people with personality disorders. The closure doesn't seem to fit in with the national personality disorder strategy, which aims to increase the amount of appropriate treatment available.

Interestingly, lawyers for the in-patients are planning to challenge the closure in the High Court. Or so the BBC reports:

As I understand it, the health trust are saying they want to move to more community-based and short-term emergency only type treatment. Does that mean we are abandoning the whole idea of therapeutic communities? Because even though they may be very effective for some people they are probably considered to be too expensive.
