What are your pet hates? I personally hate rudeness - the waiter test is always a good one. I've been very suprised about the way people treat waiters and waitresses and it's a good tester!!

Rudeness has its place. I think that a lot of people pick on others like waiters et al for a bit of a power trip! They should think about what goes on in the kitchen. My pet hate is dog owners who take no responsibility for the behavior of their dogs. I despair at the number of times i have to wrestle someones dog off me whilst it is slobbering and the owner sits there laughing saying it is just being friendly. By the way, i like dogs!

 That really is taking 'pet' hates literally! I have probably too many to list. Currently, it's people who play music out loud on their mobile phones on buses or any public transport actually - oh, and people who eat smelly food on buses too (fried chicken/chips) especially on my way home when I'm hungry.

I guess I should learn to drive..

 People who spit their chewing gum out on the pavement and it then ends up sticking like disgusting glue to the sole of my shoe

I loathe people who jump the queue at bus stops. Argh!

Being stuck on a bus and enduring some tinny musical download on someone's mobile phone and then having to listen to that someone whine on and on about the most intimate details of their personal life or, worse, what they are having for dinner that night.

LOL it seems buses are featuring with quite a few of us. It's strange as I've been using the same bus route for 5 years now and the kids never used to play their music out loud when I first used to get the bus whereas now there is a mass buzz going on round me with 3 or 4 playing their music out loud.

As for bus queues Anabel - you're lucky there is a queue at all where you are as at my stop it seems to be people loitering around generally then pushing and shoving to get on the bus when it arrives. I do try and take note as to who's been there longer than me when letting people on.

 Anoter pet hate - people clearing their nose/throats loudly - eugh it makes me feel sick!

 My pet hate is when my family go into shops and do not get served properly. I sent my son into a chip shop and watched as he was kept waiting. The person behind the counter served three people who where behind him. This also happened to my partner in the same shop. Yes they are black African. The excuse, the girl was new and didn't understand. Rubbish.

 

So my pet hate is Racism, it's also illegal.

Where do I start?!! People who use disabled or parent and child parking spaces, when they are neither disabled or have children (I used to go up and challenge people on this until my partner warned me that I might get hit one day!).  On the same vein, people who are able bodied and who use the lifts instead of escalators and leave me, with a pushchair, waiting forever (muttering to myself of course! ).  People who tailgate me when I am driving, people driving whilst talking on mobile phones. And my real bug bear, people who let don't clean up after their dogs, especially near schools and in parks. I sound like a right bad mood bear!

Ha ha that made me chuckle - I actually have the book Bad Mood Bear!!

oh i thought of another, people in flash cars who drive through puddles in the rain so fast that pedestrians get soaked!
