I work for a project (Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership for Care) that helps providers in adult social care understand the changes and implications of the Personalisation Agenda on behalf of Coventry City Council and Warwickshire County Council. As part of my role as the Engagement and Relationship Officer for this partnership I have identified that personal assistants need support too, this brings me on to the reason for posting, my Personal Assistant (PA) Project. I am working with Direct Payments Services in Coventry City Council to develop forums for PA's to get together to help us to gather information about their training and support needs, that will contribute to the development of support for this workforce. We're asking if anyone is a PA or a support and care worker for someone receiving direct payments from Coventry City Council that would like to attend our forums.
