Hi Lizza

I don't know what previous experience you have but have you thought of registering with agancies and securing work that way?  Have you done any voluntary work in your chosen field?

When I was a 2nd year student I was working unpaid as a volunteer home worker for Home-Start and also gained paid employment with a local authority during my summer break.   Both provided excellent experiences!!

Just a few thoughts

I'm also in the same postion looking for a summer job and have registered with SWIIS to do some contact work, residential work or community care office work. So maybe agency work would be a good option.
