A charter of rights for people with dementia and their carers in Scotland is being launched today, by the Scottish Parliament's cross-party group on Alzheimer's.

It's designed to help shape the Scottish government's upcoming strategy on dementia and tackle the stigma and discrimination facing people with dementia and their carers.

All sounds very positive - though obviously it has no legal force.
