I'm told The One Show (7pm, BBC1, 6 July) will be carrying a report about social work.
Let us know what you think.

Oh god I'll be gritting my teeth to see if it's positive or negative!
short but sweet and positive
shame about nick clegg though suggesting that if you haven't had children and you are young you might not be up to the job.
I missed the first minute, so am not sure about where the team were from.
However, I would like to congratulate them all for giving the BBC access, that few minutes is probably worth a fortune in positive PR for the profession simply by showing the reality of the job.
Well done also to the reporter for correcting Nick Clegg's wafffle afterwards.
I thought it was good coverage. Agree with it being short and sweet and also disagree with comments about age and not having children. Maybe community care and readers could write to the BBC and encourage them to do more coverage on social work on shows or even a documentary or something similar. We need positive coverage and television channels like the BBC, where millions of people tune in, could be one of the keys to standing up for social work and improving the outlook on the profession.
I just missed it! Does anyone know how I can get to watch it now?
I was on the phone and so I didn't see it.. I just saw the baby hedgehogs... *squeak* *squeak*
I'll try to post a link to it from iPlayer if I can find it later.
I'm very disapointed in Nick Clegg. i had to take a walk around the room I was so angry.

Here is the link for anyone who missed the one shows coverage on social workers. It's right at the beginning so you don't have to skip through.
Forgot to say I thought the reporter was very supportive of social workers. She had obviously taken into account the challenges that children's social workers face daily. And it was nice to see a positive case during the clip where the family had been supported in keeping their children.
Sorry here's the link (whoops)
