As a journalist I love the opportunity that CareSpace gives me to interact with CC's readers. It appeals to me because as a person I am inquistive (that's a polite way of saying nosey!), analytical and enjoy communicating with others and finding out their views and stories. All these things make me a natural journalist ~ it also helps that I adore writing.

So what does your job say about you? What does being a social worker or social care professional reveal about you and your personality?

Or is this just a job for you?

My friends always say I'm really nosey and ask loads of questions. My friend who I holidayed with was quite exhausted after all my questions but if we ever went on Mr and Mrs I'd be in for the carriage clock! Wink

I so know what you mean! It can be v easy to ask people lots of questions as it's such a natural thing for us journalists to do Geeked

We both went for massages and at the end I asked her what she found out about the masseuse - nothing! I on the other hand had grilled the woman about where she is from, where in Kos she lives, whether she owns her own business, if she was married and what the bony bit was that she kept pressing on my neck! I bet she was pleased when i left!

I'd be interested to hear social workers views on their jobs

When I worked as a CPN I used to describe myself to service-users as a 'professional nosey-parker'.

As a trainer I guess it says I'm arrogant enough to think that I've got something worth saying.

Ha ha I like that Stuart Smile I think whenever I get accused of being a little too curious, I will just tell people I'm a professional nosey parker!
