hi loving the new look site !
can you explain to me what a wiki is please?
Hi lizzer, glad you like it!
A wiki is basically a web page that is edited by a group of readers. Wikipedia is the most famous wiki - it is an encyclopedia that is put together and constantly updated by a group of volunteers from around the world. The idea is that the pages are formed from the collective expertise of the community at large. In the context of CareSpace, we could set up pages about social care themes, which would be created and edited by the CareSpace community and then anybody could use them as a reference.
I might start some off soon and see how it goes. But if there are any you want to start up please feel free! Also let me know if there any particular themes or ideas which would benefit from a CareSpace wiki page.

Simeon,
Yes I know it's not the right place, but you know me............Daft.
Questions: Where are the photographs now? How do I invite someone to be a friend? How do I send a Private Message?
Thanks
Still learning and willing to learn
Hi spartacus
You can find the photos in the "upload" section which you can also use to upload video, audio or other files.
To become a friend, just click on someone's name, when it is shown in blue at the top of a forum post. This will take you to their profile page - from their you can invite them to become a friend. Once they are a friend you can "start a conversation" with them, which is just the new wording for sending them a private message. Again, you have to be on their profile page to do this.
Hope that helps
Simeon
Thanks for the information Simeon
