Adullam Homes Housing Association has hosted an Open Day to highlight the work the association undertakes at various projects supporting the most vulnerable members of society in the Cheshire and Staffordshire region.

The event, which took place at The New Life Church in Congleton on 10th November, was arranged for the benefit of the local community, local authority personnel, stakeholders, staff and residents each of whom were able to witness a variety of presentations focusing on work done in the fields of single homeless people, substance abuse and domestic violence, and special mother and baby projects.

Adullam provides both high-quality housing and floating support for clients and residents through a variety of projects managed by the organisation across the region. The Associations services in the Congleton area have been awarded an ‘A’ Rating in recent Quality Assessment Framework (QAF) assessments, part of the Supporting People programme that measures the quality of housing support services for vulnerable people.

Tony Lewis, Service Manager at Adullam said: “We have all been delighted at our recent QAF ‘A’ rating and have enjoyed a thoroughly worthwhile day presenting to everyone interested in the work we do. I believe that anyone who attended the Open day will have left with some valuable insights into both the needs of vulnerable people in the Cheshire and Staffordshire areas and of the support we provide for them.”

Presentation boards outlined the work done at each of the Adullam projects, o with each presentation manned by both an individual project’s staff and residents.

Tony Lewis explained: “Presenting as we did provided anyone attending the opportunity to speak to both residents and staff who were then able to answer questions from their own first-hand experience.

Several of our residents also then presented and shared their own individual stories with guests and visitors.”

The event also showcased the work done by Adullam’s own social enterprise project, Matt 25, and outlined the support that this enterprise provides for the regions unemployed and for those seeking to return to employment.
