Academic appointed as special adviser to Milburn

Paul Corrigan, who is professor of public policy at University
of North London, has been appointed as a special adviser to health
secretary Alan Milburn.

Corrigan, who is executive director of research charity the
Public Management Foundation, is an expert on modernisation of
public services.
