Health minister Jacqui Smith has made appointments to nine posts
working on the national service framework for children.
The new appointees will join external working groups set up to
develop standards and service models for the framework.
Jo Williams, former president of the Association of Directors of
Social Services and director in Cheshire, Norman Tutt, social
services director for Ealing council, and Paul Ennals, chief
executive of the National Children’s Bureau are among the new
working group members.
Williams will serve on a group looking at children needing
acute/hospital services, Tutt on a children in need group, and
Ennals on a healthy children and young people group.
There are other working groups looking at the mental health and
psychological well-being of children and young people, disabled
children and maternity.
