A former director of social work, Douglas Bulloch, has been
appointed as chairperson of the Scottish Children’s Reporter
Administration (SCRA) following an announcement by Cathy Jamieson,
minister for education and young people.
A former director of social work in East Ayrshire, Bulloch spent
almost 25 years as a social worker in the West of Scotland. In
November 2000, he was appointed by the Scottish executive to lead
the action team on better integrated children’s services. The team
produced the report ‘For Scotland’s Children’ in October 2001,
which is central to the future work of the SCRA.
Bulloch takes up the position on 31 March following the
resignation of Sally Kuenssberg after seven years in the post.
