Support for union on staff incentives

Just over half of visitors to Community Care‘s website
agreed with public sector union Unison that councils should be
stopped from offering financial incentives to recruit staff.

This week’s question asks: Should smacking in the home be
made illegal? The health select committee report on the Victoria
Climbie Inquiry published this week calls for the removal
of the defence of “reasonable chastisement” for parents or carers
who smack their children.
