Bid to consult pupils on having a say in schools

The Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) is
preparing it’s own young people’s version of a
consultation document on how schools and local education
authorities should give children and young people more of a
say.

The consultation on pupil participation was published in June.
The government’s aim, says the consultation document, is to
help open up opportunities for children and young people to become
more active participants in their education. CRAE says it will be
encouraging children and young people to respond to the proposals.
The consultation ends in November.
