Government ‘too harsh’ on refugees

More than half of the visitors to Community Care‘s website
believe the government’s attitude towards asylum seekers is too
harsh.

Fifty-seven per cent said the government should soften its
approach.

This week’s question asks: If children can sue local
authorities when their parents are wrongfully accused of abuse will
it make it harder for professionals to act in the best interests of
the child?

The Court of Appeal ruled that children can sue for harm caused by
being separated from their parents after false accusations are made
