A Surrey police pilot scheme that aims to tackle antisocial
behaviour through the use of a yellow-card warning system is to be
rolled out across the county.
Under the pilots in Guildford and Staines those committing
antisocial behaviour are stopped by a police officer and issued
with a yellow card.
The offenders’ details are then entered into a police database and
if the offender is stopped again, they could face arrest or a court
summons.
Yellow cards could be issued for using obscene language, throwing
objects such as bottles and threatening behaviour.
