It’s a fit-up as MP volunteers for tag

A Labour MP has been electronically tagged this week to test a
scheme that could be used to track paedophiles.

Dan Norris, MP for Wansdyke, and a former social worker who
specialised in child protection, has been fitted with the
tag.

A Home Office spokesperson said home secretary David Blunkett
backed electronic tracking of sex offenders in principle, adding:
“Pilots on tracking offenders in the community should begin by the
end of this year.”
