It may be easier to travel to Mars in 2035 than for older or
disabled people to access British trains, disability charity
Leonard Cheshire claimed last week.
Launching its All Aboard postcard campaign, the disability charity
said that while it might be possible to travel to Mars within three
decades, trains inaccessible to disabled people could still be in
use until 2035 under government proposals.
Leonard Cheshire is calling for the government to remove old trains
at an earlier date and is urging the general public to send a
postcard to their MP saying how old they will be by the time trains
are accessible.
